President and CEO
Ascendigo Autism Services, Carbondale, Colorado
Ascendigo Autism Services, Inc. is a nationally recognized nonprofit organization that enhances the lives of children and adults living with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and related intellectual and developmental disabilities. Ascendigo achieves this through a variety of programs - outdoor/sports education, employment supports, life skills instruction, community integration, behavioral therapy in schools, homes, the Ascendigo center, and community and professional trainings. Ascendigo is headquartered in Carbondale, Colorado – 45 minutes from Aspen and an hour from Vail Valley. Ascendigo provides programming to nearly 250 individuals with autism locally and nationally, regardless of disability presentation and across the lifespan. The mission of Ascendigo is to elevate the spectrum by empowering people, inspiring lives and shattering expectations. This mission is currently supported by 45 full and part-time staff members (with an additional 40 seasonal employees during the summer), a board of 13, a revenue budget of $5.9 million, and an experienced executive leadership team of five.
The President & CEO provides leadership, direction, and guidance across all areas of the organization, including paid and volunteer staff and consultants.

Executive Director
National Speleological Society, Huntsville, Alabama
Founded in 1941, the National Speleological Society (NSS) is the largest membership organization dedicated to caves & caving. Composed of over 8,000 members and 250+ local chapters—known as grottos—the NSS connects cavers so they can explore, study and conserve caves worldwide. The NSS is a strong organization financially with an annual budget of approximately $1 million. It organizes an annual weeklong convention that brings together cavers from all over the world, as well as regional events. The NSS owns 19 cave preserves and manages 4 preserves owned by others. The National Speleological Society has a strong commitment to the conservation of underground environments and to advancing science about caves and karst.
After more than eight decades of existence, the NSS board and members are excited to seek the organization’s first Executive Director. The Executive Director will oversee all operations of the organization and be responsible for managing and supporting the Division Heads in Communications, Education & Training, Conservation & Science, Facilities, Membership, Operations, and Accounting & Finance.

The Executive Director is responsible for all financial, operational, administrative and legal aspects of the daily organizational management of the agency including annual fund development, public relations and marketing, sound management of all fiscal resources, supervision of an established program staff, and business operations in accordance with standard business practices.
