Brandi Fisher has spent nearly her entire career working in the field of civic and community engagement with significant expertise in fundraising, coalition building, advocacy and policy. She has two decades of experience working on community engagement initiatives at the local, regional and national level. Topics addressed range from Social Security reform, race relations, mental health, and public education.

As the former chief executive of the MainStream Coalition, a nonpartisan, voter education and advocacy organization; she grew the agency from a small civic organization to a leader in voter engagement and advocacy in the state of Kansas. She also implemented a nationally recognized, data-driven relational organizing tool, Voter to Voter, which gives nonprofits and community organizations the ability to effectively implement and evaluate their own GOTV (Get Out the Vote) efforts to increase voter registration and participation. Most recently, she was selected to manage a statewide U.S. Senate campaign.

Brandi has experience with major giving programs, capital campaigns, grant writing, event planning and membership growth and development. Prior to leading MainStream, she worked at the United Way of Wyandotte County where she led the annual fundraising campaign. She later served as Vice President of Community Investment where she oversaw annual grant-making to 53 social service programs, program evaluation and outcomes measurements, and managed multiple community assistance programs.

Her additional work experience includes serving as Director of Marketing and Business Development for YWCA of Greater Kansas City and Director KCK Study Circles at the United Way of Wyandotte County in Kansas City. Earlier in her career, she also spent time in Washington, D.C. where she served as National Grassroots Coordinator for Americans Discuss Social Security and as a Field Organizer for National Days of Dialogue on Race Relations.

Brandi holds a Masters in Public Administration from the University of Kansas. In addition to her work with The Moran Company, she has her own consulting firm where she helps nonprofits expand and deepen both internal and external stakeholder engagement and supports organizations in engaging in effective advocacy and public policy work. She volunteers with several hyper-local community projects and also serves on the board of a statewide agency. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family – cooking, traveling, and exploring Kansas City.
