Jane Lampo, Ed.D.

Jane is a Senior Search Consultant with The Moran Company. She served as Vice President of Philanthropy and Alumni Relations at Kansas City University where she oversaw all fundraising and alumni activities from 2014 to 2021. During her tenure at KCU, she helped raise $140 million in charitable revenue. She led the Centennial Campaign and the campaign to establish a new College of Dental Medicine in Joplin, Missouri.

Prior to KCU, Jane was Managing Director of Planned Giving at Children’s Mercy Hospital. She first came to Children’s Mercy in 1994 as Director of Planned Giving, and over a period of 18 years she helped build the planned giving program to one of the largest among children’s hospitals, raising millions of dollars in realized planned gifts, as well as planned gift expectancies.

At Children’s Mercy, Jane also served as Senior Director of Leadership Gifts and had responsibility for the major gift program in addition to planned giving program. She managed the research campaign in the late 1990s, raising $52 million.  She also served two years as Vice President of Advancement at Rockhurst University raising over $14 million in philanthropic gifts and establishing RU Alumni chapters in other regions across the country

A Certified Fund Raising Executive for over 25 years, Jane served as adjunct professor and a Senior Fellow in UMKC’s Nonprofit Leadership Program teaching classes on major gift and planned gift solicitation. She is an active member and former board president of AFPKC. Currently she serves on the organization’s professional development committee, and she was a faculty member of AFPKC’s Fundraising 101 from 2011 to 2021.

Jane is also a member of Mid-America Charitable Gift Planners (formerly Mid-America Planned Giving Council) where she also was a board member and served as the board president. In addition, she served on the board of the national organization, CGP (formerly NCGP). Jane was a member of the Kansas City Estate Planning Symposium board for over 10 years.

She is a member of St. Paul’s Episcopal Church and Day School where she served three 3-year terms on the church vestry and one 3-year term on the school board. She also has been elected to the board of Bishop Spencer Place.

Jane has a BA from University of North Carolina, an MA from Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies, and an Ed.D. in higher administration with a focus on philanthropy from the University of Kansas.
