Terrell has 20+ years of nonprofit and academic leadership experience. He has served as President and Executive Director of a senior-focused social service agency. He also led two separate community and economic development corporations that utilized real estate development as their primary means to fulfill their missions.

Additionally, he has held multiple leadership roles within academic settings. He has served as a part-time adjunct faculty member for a community college and a full-time assistant professor for a Baptist seminary. Moreover, he has experience serving as Vice President and Chief Diversity Officer for a liberal arts university.

Terrell earned his Doctor of Ministry degree from Central Seminary in Kansas, his Master of Business Administration from Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge, England, and his Master of Fine Arts in Arts Management and Leadership from Webster University in Missouri. He is currently completing a Juris Doctor. As part of his ongoing academic journey, he has written 16 books.
